Online Permitting

Address Request (E911) - Apply OnlineRequest a property site address and/or E911 sign and/or mailbox support. May be used for new addresses or to request a correction or replacement.

Site Permit - Apply OnlineApplication for any structural addition or change to property. This includes: homes (stick built, modular, mobile, or park home); relocated homes; additions to dwelling; garages (attached or detached); driveways/aprons; patios; sidewalks; decks; porches; sunrooms; office/commercial buildings; pole sheds; storage sheds; fences or water-oriented structures.

RV Permit - Apply OnlineApplication to place an RV (pop-up camper, pull behind camper, 5th wheel, etc) on a property. RV must meet all setbacks.

Land Alteration Permit - Apply OnlinePermit to move or excavate dirt, gravel, sand, etc, on property, which is not incidental to an APPROVED building permit or a septic system permit.

Short Term Rental Registration - Apply OnlineApplication to operate a short term rental with occupancy less than a 30 day period.

Change/Renewal Permit - Apply OnlineApplication to amend/change or alter an existing approved permit or to renew a permit (including septic permits). Permit renewals must be applied for prior to the expiration date of the original permit. PLEASE NOTE, only use this application to extend the length of the approved permit OR for changes to already approved proposals (not to add additional structures, etc.).

Variance - Apply OnlineA Variance may be necessary when a landowner wishes to build or develop a project that is prohibited as per the established regulations in the Becker County Zoning Ordinance. A site application must be completed and submitted online prior to submitting a variance request.

A Variance application requires a public hearing before the Board Of Adjustments to determine if it can be approved. Variance fees are in addition to permit fees. Please note, fees are non-refundable as they cover the cost of the process.

Conditional Use Permit - Apply OnlineConditional Use refers to a land use or development that would not be permitted under the Becker County Zoning Ordinance, but may be allowed with appropriate controls given certain conditions exist (as outlined in the County Ordinance). Some examples of conditional uses are: non-residential storage buildings, home occupations, duplexes, etc.

A Conditional Use application requires a public hearing before the Planning Commission to determine if it can be approved.

New Septic System Installation - Apply OnlineApplication to install a new onsite sewage treatment system. To be completed by licensed professionals.

Existing Septic System Compliance - Apply OnlineCompliance inspection form for an existing sewage treatment system. To be completed by licensed professionals.
