Hunting/Shooting

For those who feel hunting is not just simply a sport but a way of life... we understand how you feel. Becker County's bountiful public lands are a hunter's paradise. Deer, bear, grouse, wild turkey, and waterfowl, they're all here!

There are nearly 75,000 acres of county-managed tax-forfeited land and over 56,000 acres of lands administered by the Minnesota DNR, nearly all of which are open to public hunting. Additional opportunities are available in the Tamarac and Hamden Slough National Wildlife Refuges as well as the numerous state and federal wildlife management areas.

If you're looking to hone your shooting skills before the start of the season, or challenge a friend to a little trap or skeet competition there's plenty of opportunity in the area. Check out our area Sportsmen Clubs.
