  • White Earth Nation Human Services Transfer Project

    The White Earth Nation, in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Human Services, is offering an opportunity for tribal members and their families to receive public assistance, currently offered by counties, directly from the White Earth Human Services Division. Until now, only cases for households comprised solely of White Earth Nation members or lineal descendants have been eligible for transfer from the three counties. The White Earth Nation is now ready to manage and determine eligibility for any household containing at least one member of the White Earth Nation. More information...

Mission Statement:

The mission of Becker County Human Services is to promote safety, health and self-sufficiency by delivering comprehensive, fiscally responsible services to individuals and families.

The Human Services Director is an appointed position. The agency offers two basic kinds of services:

  1. Financial Support - to promote self-sufficiency of the residents of Becker County through the programs and services we administer and referrals to community resources.
  2. Social Services - subject to a sliding fee schedule.
